Are you ready for some hiking KW?  Yes, yes I am tour guide.  Back pack on, Check.  Hiking Pole ready, Check.  Plenty of water, Check.  Keys to the jeep, Check. Hey wait I can't drive.  Ok, we are ready, lets hit the trail.  Hey tour guide, what trail are we hiking today?  We are going to Eagle Scout Trail in Quail Creek State Park.  We will hike about 2.5 miles out and back.  Piece of cake tour guide, lets roll.

Hey tour guide, are we almost to the top yet?  No KW, turn around and look up.

Oh wow, it's a long way up there.

Ok CJ, it's time for a Geology lesson.  KW, what is Geology?  I'll explain that to you later.  Now in geology and related fields, a stratum (plural: strata) is a sedimentary rock or soil, or igneous rock where formed at the earth's surface, with internally consistent characteristics that distinguish it from other layers.

Hey tour guide, in a few million years these two holes in the rock could become Arches.

Look through here CJ, that is the makings of a Hoodoo.

KW what are you doing in that cave?  Oh by the way KW, I like it on top.  Oh, I *Know*!

TTFN:

Geology is the science that deals with the dynamics and physical history of the earth, the rocks of which it is composed, and the physical, chemical, and biological changes that the earth has undergone or is undergoing.
