There is no "R" in Acadia

KW here, we were up early to go to breakfast at Paddy's in downtown Bar Harbor.  Breakfast was great.  We stopped at the front desk of the West Street Hotel.  While talking to the desk clerk Chris we found out our hotel and this one were owned by the same people.  KW asked him if they had any rooms and could we switch hotels.  He said there would be no problem in switching. After checking with Mrs. tour guide (she has the traveling credit card) it was decided we would be switching hotels.
When we got back to our hotel the desk clerk said we were all switched to the new one.  We packed up, loaded the jeep and checked in.

PS:
Acadia National Park: is a 47,000-acre Atlantic coast recreation area primarily on Maine's Mount Desert Island.  There are over 120 miles of trails for hiking within the park.  Acadia was first established as Sieur de Monts National Monument in July 1916 by President Woodrow Wilson but was changed to Lafayette National Park in February 1919 when it became the first national park east of the Mississippi.  It was not until January 1929 that it officially was name Acadia National Park.

Cadillac Mountain: is located on Mount Desert Island, within Acadia National Park.  With an elevation of 1530 feet, it's summit is the highest point in Hancock County and the highest within 25 miles of the shoreline of the North American continent between the Cape Breton Highlands, Nova Scotia and Mexican peaks 1800 miles south of the Texas border.

  1. Acadia National Park is beautiful. We did it on a cruise. And I may have given you the wrong address, KW. If you go back to New Britain CT it's 1365 Stanley Street. I think I told you 1325.

We are in Amsterdam today. A day at sea tomorrow and then Copehagen and the big bird back to Florida.

    Have fun.
