Show Me Missouri - Day 5

HEY KW, WAKE UP, it's time to hit the road jack. Fred, why are you yelling?  Hey tour guide, maybe I can write a song out of that. Fred, yes KW, I have tried for years to write songs, but tour guide always finds a song already written.  Well KW, I have been in Vaudeville preforming in stages all over this country.  Maybe we can sing a duet.  Oh brother, KW and Fred, will you just get in the jeep. 
 

Where to today tour guide?  KW, we are off to Springfield Missouri to ride some of Route 66. Tour guide that's called the Mother road. Fred how old  are you?  KW i've been around a day or two. 

Coming into St. Louis Missouri. The Gateway Arch sitting by the banks of the Mississippi River. 

The Rt 66 visitors center in Eureka is closed until February 29, 2020. 

Eureka Missouri exit 266 off i44w. The Meramec River Bridge. The community is planning rebuilding the bridge and road. 


Hey tour guide we are hungry, when do we eat? What are we eating? How much longer?  Ok KW, that's enough. We are stopping in Cuba at Missouri Hick Bar Bq. Cuba, we can't drive to Cuba. We have to take a boat. KW don't do no boat. If the boat sinks there is way too much water to drink.  KW, your mind just wanders all the time. We are in Missouri. Oh ok, but Bar Bq for the 4th time on 5 days. Yes the tour guide likes bbq. 

Wagon Wheel Motel has been restored. It has a great neon sign. Of course in the afternoon it is not on.
