Now we are off to Mesquite Nevada. Hey tour guide, can we go to a casino and play some poker. Not this trip KW. Aw man, I have been watching Poker Stars on cable. I got this thing down. Two cards face down, the hole cards. Not bad huh? KW, it will take a bit more than knowing that. OK, I'll keep studying. Maybe next time I can get in a game. Oh, hey tour guide, can I borrow the 10K buy in. KW, you can't play cards, remember you don't have thumbs. Oh you heard that, huh?
Traveling through the Virgin River Gorge.

At the visitors center, Mrs. tour guide got another NP stamp for the Old Spanish Trail.
A few more rock pictures on today's journey.
This trip to Mesquite started in Utah, then into Arizona, and finally into Nevada.

PS:
Texas hold'em (also known as Texas holdem, hold'em and holdem) is a variation of the card game of poker. Two cards, known as the hole cards, are dealt face down to each player, and then five community cards are dealt face up in three stages. The stages consist of a series of three cards ("the flop", ("the turn" or "fourth street"), and a final card ("the river" or "fifth street"). Each player seeks the best five card poke hand from any combination of seven cards and their own two hole cards. If a player's best five card poker hand consists only of the five community cards and none of the player's hole cards, it is called "playing the board". If you play the board on the river, then you can do no better than tie the other players in the game if no player can make a better hand than the board represents, using either or both hole cards. Players have betting options to check, call, raise, or fold. Rounds of betting take place before the flop is dealt and after each subsequent deal.
You got to know when to hold 'em. Know when to fold 'em. Know when to walk away. Know when to run. You never count your money when you're sitting at the table. There'll be time enough for countin' when the dealin's done.
ReplyDeleteAnd KW, never play a weak Ace when you are out of position!
