Long story short, we finally found our luggage. The real reason we found it was due to the person we are renting our condo from. She texted me saying she was waiting in an area outside baggage claim 20, which she looked up on her iPhone and told us where it was we were to go, not the 10 or 20 different airport employees we stopped and asked. Each time we got a different answer.
We finally made it to our condo at 11 pm Honolulu time. After unloading and taking 3 or 4 trips up and down 3 flights of stairs with 28 step total each trip up and down, we were finally in our abode for the next 50 days. We were exhausted and collapsed on our bed.
Now, the plot thickens here. Never asking each other if we had texted the proper authorities back on the mainland that we had arrived, we would later fine we had not.
The next morning I was awaken with text alert on my phone and was promptly chastised by my son and my brother. They had texted each other to see if we had arrived. Then in unison they both texted me. Well it was clear to me we had arrived and I explained this to both. That concludes the first day.

PS:
Two things we ascertained by the Tour guide.
1- You can't get there from here, or here from there. Which ever the case may be.
2- Always use ios software.
