It’s all about KW

Hey Tour guide are we ever going to stop driving? This road just goes on for miles and miles.  KW, we are almost there. Oh boy I can’t wait. Hey CJ Hey LH we are going to Rapid City SD. We will stay at the same hotel we stayed at in 2016. This place is really neat. They have a water park in the hotel. There’s a big bucket that dumps water on you from about 10 feet above your head. KW, stop telling them because we are not staying there. We couldn’t get a room there. Oh man you’re kidding me.

Here we are KW at the Best Western Ramkota. The Ramwata?  Oh no we aren’t staying here. Look at that building. Tour guide, we are not staying. Don't even stop, keep going.

KW, you are such a wuss. That's an old hotel being torn down.  This is our hotel. Well, it's not in the IHG group. But I guess it's just for one night.  OK, but can you try not do this again.  Well, KW you can start making the reservations as we travel.

Tour guide look at this bed. It’s hard as a board. It’s not a King sized bed. Oh man how will we survive here.  It's just not a bed from the IHG group of hotels. They use new King size beds with soft pillows and a wonderful pillow top.  KW, you sound like a walking ad for them.  Hey, maybe they could pay me.

Tour guide will you tell LH to stop sticking his horn in my ear.  I tried to tell you this bed was way too small.  It's way to hard.  But no, you said it would be ok for tonight.  Well, if it's ok then he can sleep with you.

Tour guide, we are not staying here. Don’t even bother to unpack. We will just sleep in the car tonight. I saw a Walmart across the street. It’s free and it’s a 24 hour store so we can use the bathroom. We will just wash with paper towels and hand soap in the morning.

KW, lets go play some golf at the Pirates Cove.  Oh cool, golf is my game.  Hey Tour guide I'll give you 2 strokes a hole.  We can play for money.  No wait, I don't have any money.  I can't even pick it up, I have no thumbs.

Yo Ho Ho Tour guide, Is it my turn yet?  Let me finish putting first.

Hey Mrs. Tour guide, you just got a hole-in-one.  Great shot.

Hey CJ, LH look in there.  Yikes, guess I had better tone it down a notch or I may just end up in there too.

Time to eat supper at Millstone.  They have great bison burgers.

Hey tour guide, what is this?  Is this coconut cream pie.

Oh yeah, it's coconut cream pie all right. Yum.

Hey Tour guide, I'll take you up on helping you make the next reservation.  Where is Neb Colo?  Let me see the map KW.  Oh great, you are a big help.  You are looking at two states abbreviations.  Neb is Nebraska and Colo is Colorado.  Oh ok, I've never really read a map before.

KW's Weekend Recap

06222018 (Theodore Roosevelt NP - Painted Canyon Visitors Center)

Dickinson North Dakota will be our destination for the next three days.

Hey Tour guide, it looks like we are almost there.

Entering the Painted Canyon South Unit.

WOW, Tour guide, the vastness of Theodore Roosevelt NP is immense.  KW, are you using my thesaurus? What are you talking about Tour guide?  I do know some big words.  My vocabulary is not enormous, but it is huge.

Mrs. Tour guide stamping.

Getting ready to hike the trail.

The Painted Canyon Nature Trail.

Hey Tour guide, is that B?  No KW, he stayed home this trip.  Well, it sure looks like him.  Hey, he just snorted at me.  Now I know it's not B.

Hey Tour guide, why is he rolling back and forth?  He's just scratching.

This sure is one big place.

Hurry it up KW, it's going to rain, take the picture.

Hey guys, this is supposed be an Usie, why are you facing the wrong way?

(Theodore Roosevelt NP - South Unit Visitors Center)

Mrs Tour guide between the Rough Rider and the President.

Hey KW, look at these boxes of rocks.  Oh, that's really nice Tour guide, (yawn).  Have you looked at all the big rocks out side?

Petrified Stump.

06232018 (Theodore Roosevelt NP - North Unit Visitors Center)

I'm king of the hill.

Hey, does anyone have a signal?

CANNON BALL!!  KW, what are you doing?  These are cannon balls Tour guide.  They look like big round rocks.  Tour guide, they are called cannon balls.

Hey tour guide is there someone else behind me?  No, KW, I only see CJ.

OK, but I'm sure there is someone else back there.  Take another look.  Oh yeah, now I see him.  I forgot to tell you.  Mrs. Tour guide picked him yesterday.  His name is L. H. Douglas.  He is a Longhorn.  OK, but I will call him LH.

Hey Tour guide, slow down, the road is blocked with a herd of buffalo.  Slow down, they may come back and charge us.  Please pull over.  KW, they will not bother us.

Oh brother, I've seen it all now, the Tour guides are taking an Usie with the buffalo.  KW, Mrs. Tour guide says it's a Groupie with more than two.  Well I looked it up in the Urban Dictionary and it says Usie.  Well you two can sort it out.

It has started to rain with this herd heading on to another place.

A lone straggler.

PS:

Theodore Roosevelt National Park
Theodore Roosevelt NP lies in western North Dakota, where the Great Plains meet the rugged Badlands.  A habitat for bison, elk and prairie dogs, the sprawling park has 3 sections linked by the Little Missouri River.  The park is known for the South Unit's colorful Painted Canyon and the Maltese Cross Cabin, where President Roosevelt once lived.  The Scenic Loop Drive winds past several overlooks and trails.

Texas Longhorn
The Texas Longhorn is a breed of cattle known for its characteristic horns, which can extend to over 1.8 m (5 feet 10 inches) tip to tip for bulls and 2.1 m (6 feet 10 inches) tip to tip for steers and exceptional cows.

Buffalo or Bison
It's so common, in fact, that we sometimes use the two interchangeably.  But if you really want to know the difference between a buffalo and a bison, the American Bison is native to North and South America and Europe, while the other two buffalo species reside in Africa and Asia.
