Yabadabado we are in Nebraska.
Hey KW, did you hear about the cows in Nebraska? No tour guide, what happened? They have sued the farmers. Why? What did they do? They are using round bales of hay so the cows can't get a square meal. Aaaarrrgh, that's awful tour guide, even for you.
We are at the Agate Fossil Beds National Monument in
Harrison Nebraska. Stamping the book. Mrs tour guide loves doing it.
GW getting it done.
Casts of Dinosaurs found well before it became a National Monument.
Actual bones found in digs in the Harrison area.
Just a few formations.
No longer an active dig. who know, there could be fossils in these rocks.
She loves Rocks. I think she has over fifty now on this trip so far. Oh, these are not hers.
What are you guys looking at? Look over there tour guide. It's a rabbit. No KW, the Jeep is full. Ok, I didn't ask anything. I know you didn't, but you were thinking about it.
We are on one of the two interpretive Trails.
TTFN:
Interpretive Trails:
Two trails lead to important fossil discovery areas. The one mile Daemonelux - Devils Corkscrew - trail is near the River Road NE 29 junction. it leads to the fossilized corkscrew burrows of the small beaver Palaeocadtor. The 2.7 mile Fossil Hils Trail leads to University and Carnegie hills, where most of the digging took place in the early 1900s.
Hey TC (that's short for Tour Guide),
