Day 55 - Never Forget

It has been 15 years.

Just a few of the flags flying every where in Kearney Nebraska. As we were driving downtown we heard church bells playing. We turned off the radio, rolled down the windows to hear them playing the Star Spangled Banner. So beautiful.

We went to a Classic Car Museum with nearly 200 vintage cars from the early 1900's to the 1990's. One of Mrs tour guides favorites. 1973 Super Beetle.

One of the tour guides favorites. 1947 Buick Roadmaster restomod.

Austin Mini PU. Never sold in America.

Museum of Nebraska Art.

The Pilot Who Wouldn't Bail Out.

The Jap Eradicator.

The Private who Led the Attack.

John Falters Heros:
John Falter was a native Nebraskan who studied at the Kansas City Art Institute and the Art Studies League of New York City. He joined the U. S. Navy in 1943. Commissioned a lieutenant on special art assignments. He created a notable series of 12 portraits of war Heros published in Esquire Magizine.

  • Restomod (restoration + modern parts/technology) draws from all the amazing advancements in automobile technology over the past 40+ years to enhance the performance, comfort and safety of the classic car. A restomod car has the timeless appearance of the original, but the outdated guts of the car have been replaced with the more modern, high-performance parts of today. You achieve the same great look, but your vintage car will be revved up with all the latest bells and whistles to create a much better ride for the owner.
