KW&CJ Like to listen to 60's on 6 on Sirius-XM Radio while in the Jeep traveling around this country. Mrs. tour guide emails Phlash Phelps about our travels. Today he mentioned us twice on his show.
Gordon "Phlash" Phelps is a radio personality and disc jockey on Sirius-XM Radio, broadcasting from Washington, D.C. He hosts the weekday morning drive time Phlash Phelps Phunny Pharm on the '60s on 6 channel, which plays music hits from the 1960s.
An "USIE" is a group selfie, where someone takes a picture of themselves with other people in the shot.
First day of Summer.
The summer solstice (or estival solstice), also known as midsummer, occurs when one of the Earth's poles is tilted the farthest toward the Sun. It happens twice yearly, once in each hemisphere, (Northern and Southern). For that hemisphere, the summer solstice is when the Sun reaches it highest position in the sky and is the day with the longest period of daylight. At the pole, there is continuous daylight around the summer solstice. On the summer solstice, Earth's maximum axial tilt toward the Sun is 23.44 degrees. Likewise, the Sun's declination from the celestial equator is 23.44 degrees. The summer solstice occurs during the hemisphere's summer. This is the June solstice in the Northern Hemisphere. Depending on the shift of the calendar, the summer solstice occurs sometime between June 20 and June 22.
