Day 6 - Crossing the Colorado Rockies

Why are we awake so early? It's only 5 AM.  I thought this was to be a day off. Guess not. Can we ride in the back facing out. it's fun to watch the traffic coming at us. Ok, silence again. 

 

Hey tour guide, where are we going today. Oh, I'll be surprised.  I really don't like surprises. You saw this on your walk. Glad I stayed in this morning. 

 

Breakfast at HillDaddy's Wildfire Restaurant  in Idaho Springs Co. 

 

 

Hey tour guide, why is it dark in there? Oh, it's a tunnel. Does it have a name? Oh, the Eisenhower Tunnel. What's an Eisenhower?  oh cool, the 34th president of the USA. 

 

 

 Whew, glad we got through that tunnel. 

 

Finally. We made it to Grand Junction Co. Hey CJ, it's my turn again to do the stamp. We are at the Colorado National Monument. I think I did even better this time. 

 

Wow, what a view. 

 

Our God is an Awesome God. Such a beautiful sight to behold. 

 

 

Yo, tour guide, could you please turn out the lights. It's going to be a big day tomorrow.
